What we're building, why it matters, and how to get involved.
We started Flank because the gap between "I have a goal" and "here's the plan that gets me there" is still painfully wide. Most people can’t afford a coach. The ones who can often outgrow their coach’s ability to adapt the plan every single week.
What Flank does
- Generates a full training, nutrition, and recovery block from your profile and equipment.
- Adapts your plan weekly based on what you logged, how you felt, and what you skipped.
- Answers training questions in chat — using your plan and your history, not a generic FAQ.
Why now
Three things converged this year:
- Open-weight LLMs got good enough — and cheap enough — to run inference on every logged set.
- Wearables finally produce honest sleep and HRV signals across iOS and Android.
- The "personal coach" market is enormous and almost entirely served by static templates.
We’re betting the future of fitness is dynamic: a plan that’s rewritten more often than it’s printed.
